linje av lin – er jeg kledd i en plante? / a flux of flax – am I wearing a plant?

Fernanda Branco (f. 1974) er opptatt av å kombinere kunst og økologi, og har i flere år benyttet organiske materialer i sine performancer og installasjoner. I denne performancen er linplanten utgangspunktet. I sin tilnærming til performancen, har hun undersøkt det affektive forholdet hun har til lin, deretter lært seg de tradisjonelle manuelle prosessene fra såing av linfrø til spinning av lintråd. I en performance som varer hele dagen, overfører Branco disse prosessene til poetiske fortellinger ved hjelp av bevegelse og lyder.

Fernanda Branco (f. i Brasil) har hatt base i Norge fra 2006. Hun er nå masterstudent i performance ved Akademi for Scenekunst, Høgskolen i Østfold og har gartnerutdanning fra Natur Videregående Skole, Oslo (2012-2015). Hun har studert fysisk teater i International School of Corporeal Mime (UK) (2000-2003) og ved Center for Theatrical Research (BR) (1994-1999).

The main focus of Fernanda Branco is combining art and ecology, and she has for many years used organic materials in her performances and installations. Her approach to this performance has been to explore her affective relationship to linen and learn the traditional manual processes from sowing linseed to spinning linen yarn. In the performance, which lasts all day, Branco transforms these processes into poetic stories through movement and sound.  

Born in Brazil, Fernanda Branco (b. 1974) has been based in Norway since 2006. She is currently studying for an MA in Performance at the Norwegian Theatre Academy, Østfold University College and she also has a specialisation in gardening from Natur Videregående Skole in Oslo (2012-2015). She has studied physical theatre at the International School of Corporeal Mime (UK) (2000-2003) and at the Center for Theatrical Research (BR) (1994-1999).
