Kjetil Skøien (f. 1952) viser i Kunstbanken og utenfor på gaten performancen Gimme Gimme Gimme. En performance om tigging, som henter sin tittel fra ABBA-hiten ved samme navn. Skøien har en kopp og en plakat og forholder seg noen ganger helt passiv som et bilde, mens han andre ganger går tett opp til folk og tigger. Han ønsker i performancen å utsette seg for den tilstanden som tiggerne befinner seg i.

Skøiens performancer har de senere årene fått et sosialt og politisk innhold, hvor det dokumentariske ofte er utgangspunktet. Ifølge Skøien var hans tidligere performancer abstrakte og poetiske, mens de nå har en tydelighet som nærmer seg det banale.

Skøien er utdannet billedkunstner, han har hatt en rekke utstillinger og har i tillegg arbeidet ved mange norske institusjonsteatre. I tillegg har han i 18 år (fra 1986-2002) drevet sitt eget teaterprosjekt Passage Nord Project hvor han har vært instruktør, scenograf og manustilrettelegger.

Kjetil Skøien (b. 1952) will, both inside Kunstbanken and outside in the street, present Gimme Gimme Gimme, a performance about begging which takes its title from the ABBA song of the same name. Skøien has a cup and a poster, and sometimes he remains passive like a picture, whilst at other times he walks straight up to people, begging. During the performance, he wants to subject himself to the plight in which beggars find themselves.

In later years, Skøiens´s performances have taken on a sosial and politival subject matter, often using the documentary format as a point of departure. According to Skøien himself, his earlier performances tended to be abstract and poetic, while they now are so clear that it approaches the banal.

Skøien, who is a painter by profession, has had a number of exhibitions and has also worked at many of the Norwegian institutional theatres. In addition to this, he has for 18 years (from 1986-2002), run his own theatre project called the Passage Nord Project, in which he was director, scenographer and manuscript adapter.
