Malin Bülows verk beveger seg i grenselandet mellom performance og skulptur. Hun inviterer dansere til å aktivere den skulpturelle stillheten. I langsomme og utstrakte performative akter blir kroppene naturlige forlengninger og bærere av det skulpturelle. I tett samarbeid med tre dansere har hun utviklet et bevegelsesmønster som gjør at verket vil kunne oppleves som en elastisk skulptur. Kroppene låses via langstrakte tentakler, forvirrede og oppblåste navlestrenger til hver sin innrammede firkanta struktur.

Malin Bülow (f. 1979) har deltatt på en rekke separat- og gruppeutstillinger, og har publisert flere tekster som tematiserer forbindelsen mellom hjerne, kropp og følelser. Bülow er utdannet fra Statens Kunstakademi i Oslo og Gerrit Rietveld Academy i Amsterdam. Hun har også studert nevrovitenskap og molekulærbiologi i Nederland, Sverige og Canada.

Malin Bülow’s work operates between performance and sculpture. She invites dancers to activate the sculptural silence, and in slow and expansive performative acts, bodies become natural extensions and conveyors of the sculpture. Working closely with three dancers, she has developed a pattern of movement which makes the composition appear like an elastic sculpture. The bodies are constrained with long tentacles, confused and bloated umbilical cords, to their own square frame.

Malin Bülow (b. 1979) has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and has published several texts that deal with the connection between the brain, the body and the psyche. Bülow studied at Oslo National Academy of the Arts and Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
