Berenice Hernández’ og Mari Ullands praksiser krysser hverandre gjennom en felles interesse for arkitektur, systemer og transformasjon. Hernández’ keramiske verk er sammensetninger av lag med leire og glasur påført på en utradisjonell måte. Ullands tekstilbaserte praksis bygger på teknikk og presisjon, der foldede og stablede rutenett skaper skulpturer som skifter perspektiv og farge når du beveger deg rundt de. I begge praksiser multipliseres eller brytes linjene opp. I denne dialogen er strukturen aldri absolutt — den bøyes, brytes, forskyves og motsetter seg sin egen logikk.
Mari Ulland (f. 1980) er en Oslo-basert tekstilkunstner. Hun har utdannelse fra Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo (master), og Arkitektur- og designhøgskolen i Oslo og Universität der Künste Berlin. Arbeidene hennes er bla stilt ut ved Skog Art Space,
Format, Norske Kunsthåndverkeres Årsutstilling, og Kunsthall Grenland.
Berenice Hernández er født i 1982 i Mexico. Hun bor i Sverige hvor hun arbeider med skulptur, video og performance. Et tilbakevendende tema i hennes kunstnerskap er sammenhengen mellom sted og tilhørighet, samt den makten arkitektur kan ha over samfunn og individ. Hernández har en bachelor fra Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo og en master fra Konstfack i Stockholm. Hennes verk har vært vist i Mexico, Sverige, Norge, Storbritannia, USA og Belgia og finnes i samlingene hos KODE Art Museum, Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum, Statens konstråd, Region Dalarna og Region Stockholm.

Logic fractures
Berenice Hernández’s and Mari Ulland’s practices intersect through a shared interest in architecture, systems, and transformation. Hernández’s ceramic works are accumulative, composed of layers of clay and glaze applied in a non-traditional way. Ulland’s textile-based practice builds on technique and precision, using folded and layered grids to create sculptural works that shift in perspective and color. In both practices, lines multiply or fracture. In this dialogue, structure is never absolute — it bends, breaks, shifts, and resists its own logic.
Mari Ulland (b. 1980) is an Oslo-based textile artist. She holds a master’s degree from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and has also studied at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and Universität der Künste Berlin. Her works have been exhibited at Skog Art Space, Format, the Annual Exhibition of the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts, and Kunsthall Grenland.
