Utstillingen En anna vei heim handler om å være utsatt for voldsomme endringer, om fremmedgjorte ferdigheter, røtter i en anna tid, nærhet til , og tap av natur og sårbarheten i marginaliserte kulturer og tilhørigheter. Erlend Leirdals skulpturer og relieffer i tre baserer seg i stor grad på eldre tiders materialforståelse og tradisjoner. Kunstneren peker med originale grep på magien i det nære og hverdagslige.

The exhibition En anna vei heim (Another Way Home) deals with being exposed to profound change — with alienated skills, roots from another time, closeness to and loss of nature, and the vulnerability of marginalized cultures and identities. Erlend Leirdal’s sculptures and wood reliefs are largely based on traditional materials and craftsmanship from earlier times. Through original approaches, the artist points to the magic found in the everyday and the familiar.
